Q. Why did USAN choose to offer a VISA PLATINUM credit card, and not some other kind of card?
A. Because VISA is the most popular payment format in the world and is accepted in more places than any other credit card. Platinum credit card gives you superior premium features and is thus better than Gold, Silver or Standard cards, that many of you have.

A. U.S. Azeris Network (USAN) receives $50 for each approved application that is activated and used within 90 days of approval. At the same time, there is no cost to you whatsoever. Great deal, isn't it?
Q. Is there an annual fee?
A. No, there is no annual fee. Indeed, there are no "special" or "hidden" fees -- the USAN Visa Platinum card has exactly the same obligations and privileges as all other Platinum cards. It's just that USAN worked with Visa and UMB to persuade that the Azerbaijani-American community deserves such VIP treatment. So it's a great deal for the Azerbaijani-Americans.
Q. What is the interest rate on the card (for those who don't pay their balance in full each month)?
A. 0% for the first six (6) months introductory period on purchases and balance transfers. After the six months introductory period, the interest rate will be the federal prime rate (no lower than 5.25%) + 5.90%. Thus, the rate is better than on the cards that most of you have. Once again, this "rate" applies only if you don't pay your balance in full each month. If you do pay in full your balance, then the rate does not apply to you.
Q. Can I apply over the phone?
A. No, and why would you want to? The best, securest and quickest way is to apply online.
Q. When I apply for the card, will my transaction be secure?
A. Yes. Your application will be transmitted to UMB through an encrypted secure webpage that is using industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption.
Q. Do I have to activate and use the card within a certain time period for the U.S. Azeris Network to receive the $50?
A. Yes. But you only need to use the card once for any amount - however small you want - within the first 90 days for us to receive the $50 bounty. Of course, we encourage you to make it your primary card because this way you raise the prestige of Azerbaijani-American community, promote the U.S. Azeris Network (USAN) and allow it to receive a small percentage of retail purchases at no additional cost to you, thus supporting USAN's fundraising needs.

A. It takes about 15 business days.

Q. What do I need to be able to apply and qualify for the USAN VISA PLATINUM credit card?
A. Factors vary, but generally, a successful applicant(s) need(s) to have a Social Security number, preferrably employed (or full-time student), rent/own their residence for more than one year, have a U.S. checking and/or savings bank account, have a clean credit history with no bankruptsies in the past 7 years and a good to excellent FICO credit score.
